Teaching is My Passion

 

For as long as I can remember, I wanted to be a teacher.  Teaching wasn't something I stumbled upon; it was something I deliberately pursued.  I am absolutely in love with teaching, and I cannot imagine doing anything different.  In the past seven years, I have made it my goal to keep my practice fresh.  I love to learn, and I bring what I learn back into my classroom. I have kept up to date with new pedagogical practices and implemented them into my literature classes. In the following pages, I share some of the things that I have created for my classroom.  These include my syllabi and assignments that have successfully worked and have promoted student growth.  Of course, these items are not static.  I am constantly revising and editing to fit the different students and contexts that I encounter from year to year.
